The Gary Player Knockout Competition is played annually at all member Clubs countrywide. The winners of the Gary Player Knockout Competition receive a certificate signed by Gary Player himself.

There are two competitions, the "Gary Player Knockout Trophy" and the "Gary Player Plate". The first round losers automatically are entered into the "Plate" completion, which commences with the second round.

The Gary Player Competition is about building relationship within Nomads and above all is played in a spirit of equity and FUN!

RULES

1. Once a pairing has been arranged and have played one round, no substitution may take place.
2. Matches, other than the semi-final and final rounds, should be played outside of the monthly meetings, but may be played within a monthly game if no alternate date or venue can be arranged.
3. Should it become apparent that a pairing cannot play in either the semi-final or final rounds on the set dates below,then such pair must withdraw from the competition before the quarter-finals.
4. The first drawn pair shall enjoy choice of venue for the match to be played and shall give the opponents at least 3 dates on recognised golf days, two of which shall be on weekends, the venues being one of Nomads regular venues. Once a date has been chosen it may only be changed by mutual consent. The second drawn pair will advance to the next round if not contacted at least a week before the match deadline.
5. Partners shall be at liberty to render assistance to one another at all times, other than when playing in a monthly meeting.
6. The winning pair are responsible for reporting the result to Doug Milne at 0822550090 or 0393122290 on or before the closing date for the round.
7. A player will be disqualified from the Competition as soon as it becomes apparent that he cannot fulfil his Nomad playing commitment of six games during the year.
